Tatiana Kovaleva is originally from St. Petersburg, Russia. She first made the Russian national trampoline team in 1992 and went on to make 1994, 1996, 1998, 1999 World Championships team, taking home team gold medals in 1996, 1998, and 1999, and individual World Championship title in 1996.

After retiring from competition, Tatiana moved to the United States and began coaching. Just a few shorts years later, she was leading one of the best teams in the United States. In 2011, she became co-owner of the Elite Trampoline Academy.

Tatiana sits as the NJ State Trampoline and Tumbling Chair, the Coaching Rep to the Region 6 Board, is a member of the National Technical Committee, and is a member of the United States National Coaching Staff. She was became the American Coach for the 2012 Olympic Games in London, England.
